Hudson and McConaughey starred in the 2003 film as journalist Andie Anderson and advertising executive Benjamin Barry.

The original movie followed Benjamin, a charming advertising executive who makes a bet that he can make a woman fall in love with him within 10 days. At the same time, Andie is secretly trying to make a man lose interest in her as part of a magazine assignment.

According to reports, the new film is still in the very early stages of development and has not yet secured a screenwriter. Because of that, details about the storyline and the characters’ potential roles remain unknown.

Kate Hudson Has Previously Discussed a Sequel

Hudson has previously said she would be open to returning for another How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days movie—but only if the right script comes together.

She previously explained that the decision would ultimately depend on whether she and McConaughey connected with the story.

“I think we’re both totally open; it has just never happened,” Hudson said in a previous interview.
