Tom Holland has reached a major milestone in Hollywood, becoming the highest-grossing actor at the global box office.
The 30-year-old actor is currently starring in two major theatrical releases, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey, both of which have delivered impressive results at the worldwide box office.
According to figures cited by ComicBook.com, Holland’s theatrical films have now generated approximately $15.5 billion in combined box office revenue, putting him at the top of the list of the highest-grossing actors.
Much of the latest boost comes from Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The fourth Spider-Man movie starring Holland added another $27.4 million worldwide over the weekend, pushing its global total to approximately $2.452 billion, according to Deadline.
The film has now become one of the biggest movies in cinematic history and is currently the third-highest-grossing film of all time. It is also continuing its run toward the domestic box office record, with the movie needing roughly $18.9 million more in U.S. earnings to overtake Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Holland is also enjoying major success with Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. The epic added another $34.4 million worldwide over the weekend, bringing its global box office total to approximately $1.68 billion.
The combined performance of the two blockbusters has further cemented Holland’s position as one of Hollywood’s most commercially successful stars. His achievement is particularly notable given that he has reached the milestone at just 30 years old, with his Spider-Man franchise continuing to be a major force at the global box office.
