Police Respond to Fort Lauderdale Dispute
YouTuber Jack Doherty was arrested in Florida on Friday, September 4, and faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
According to police, officers responded at approximately 11:56 a.m. to a residence in Fort Lauderdale’s Riverside Park neighborhood following a report of a domestic dispute.
Authorities said Doherty and an unidentified woman were involved in a physical altercation inside the residence. Police said the woman was not injured.
Doherty was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Broward County Main Jail. As of Friday evening, he was reportedly being held with no bond listed.
Self-Defense Claim Reported
Sources close to Doherty told TMZ that the YouTuber believes he acted in self-defense.
However, the police account cited in the report does not confirm that claim, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged confrontation remain under investigation.
The case marks Doherty’s second arrest in Florida in less than a year.
Previous Arrest in Miami Beach
Doherty was previously arrested by Miami Beach police in November 2025 while filming content.
Authorities said he was obstructing traffic and repeatedly refused officers’ orders to leave the roadway.
He faced charges related to possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession and resisting an officer without violence. Court records later showed that Doherty entered a deferred-prosecution program.
Following that arrest, the YouTuber publicly discussed his experience in jail, describing it as boring.

He currently has more than 15 million YouTube subscribers, along with large audiences on Instagram and TikTok. Across the platforms, his combined following exceeds 25 million.
