Enrique Sapene has built a multifaceted career by understanding that compelling entertainment begins with authentic human stories. An award-winning producer, actor, host and journalist, Sapene has spent years moving confidently between broadcast television, streaming platforms and digital media while consistently championing inclusive storytelling.
Based in Los Angeles, Sapene brings a bilingual and bicultural perspective to every project he develops. His ability to connect with audiences across the United States and Latin America has established him as a distinctive voice within Spanish-language and multicultural entertainment.
Sapene first gained recognition as a reporter for major networks, including Univision, NBC, ABC, CBS and Telemundo. His natural on-camera presence also led to hosting opportunities on programs such as NBC’s Livin’ Large, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and CBS’s The Insider. These experiences allowed him to develop a versatile communication style suited to entertainment, lifestyle, celebrity culture and current affairs.
His accomplishments also include winning a GLAAD Media Award, reflecting his commitment to representation and inclusive programming.
Beyond journalism and hosting, Sapene has developed a successful acting career. His film credits include Mothers and Daughters, Self-Medicated and The Lair. He has also appeared in television productions such as Hacienda Heights and Borderline.
His work in telenovelas further expanded his international profile. Productions including Pecadora, El Alma Herida, Eva la Trailera and Tómame o Déjame reached audiences around the world, demonstrating the global appeal of Spanish-language storytelling.
In 2017, Sapene joined the cast of the WEtv docuseries My Life is a Telenovela. The following year, he launched Glitter Bomb on LATV. Its success led to the creation of The Q Agenda, a bilingual talk show covering entertainment, lifestyle, politics, fashion and music.
As both host and producer, Sapene has helped guide The Q Agenda for 12 years, developing it into a platform where culture, identity and entertainment can be explored through an inclusive lens. The program reflects his ability to create accessible content without losing the personality and cultural relevance that make it meaningful.
A major new chapter began in 2022 when Sapene co-founded River Waves Productions with veteran producer Rubén Consuegra. As executive producer, he has since delivered several prominent unscripted productions for Canela TV, including the first three seasons of Secretos de Villanas, as well as Secretos de las Indomables and Secretos de Parejas.
These programs have helped build one of the most discussed unscripted franchises in Spanish-language television. By bringing recognizable personalities together in revealing and emotionally engaging settings, the productions demonstrate Sapene’s talent for developing celebrity-driven formats that remain grounded in character and personal experience.
Sapene currently produces the Implacables franchise for Televisa, Univision and ViX, including Implacables y Divinas, with an additional Implacables spinoff to be announced soon. At the same time, he is developing a slate of documentaries intended for major global platforms, extending his work into new formats and increasingly international markets.
